Here are some other games to watch or pay attention before the ND game.

UCLA vs Stanford- Stanford win would be nice here.
Iowa vs NW- NW win would be nice. Give iowa their 1st loss.
Lou vs FSU- Maybe Lou can get a nice upset here.
Bama vs Texas AM: Overall it doesn't matter. Loser goes bye bye.
Mich St vs Mich: Mich loss would know them out. Again either team losing would help. We jump the loser no matter what.
Florida vs LSU; Again no matter what ND gains here.
PSU vs OSU: A nice upset would be great here.
ASU vs Utah: another upset Alert here.

I'm not sure Notre Dame jumps Texas A&M if they lose a close game to Bama with it being their first loss but it would drop them some with plenty of tough games left to get a 2nd loss to drop them even further. Same could be the case with Florida and LSU though I think it will be tougher for Florida to lose in the weaker SEC East so them losing would probably help a little more. I agree with the rest all though I think the polls keep MSU ahead of Notre Dame if they lose to Michigan but that is just me.

I think a win against USC while these teams lose will help us. If Mich St lost 5 spots and they won last week a loss here gets them knocked down and ND jumps them. If we win it will be a good weekend no matter what. ND will move up at least 3 spots I feel.

How I look at it we lost 9 spots against the #5 team now in Clemson. If MSU loses to Mich that is a worse loss then us because Mich has 1 Loss. We would have to be ahead of them. It wouldn't make much sense.

Utah (4) may actually be a very good team. When the Utes beat Michigan, nobody thought it was a big deal because it was Harbaugh's first game, Michigan is rebuilding a program, etc. But Michigan looks pretty scary if Utah turns out to be worthy of their 4 ranking. Michigan played Utah tough in Utah. It is possible that Utah ad Michigan are 2 of the best teams in the country. Time will tell.

Or, they may stink. Everyone fell in love with them because they killed oregon. That same Oregon team that is now 3-3. Michigan versus Michigan State will tell the story on that, along with ASU versus Utah. Utah has one quality win outside of Oregon, a close one over a Cal team that threw 4 interceptions. MSU has no quality wins outside of Oregon and Michigan beat northwestern with two long scores that I think might be misleading. While they might be three really good teams, I'll wait 2-3 more weeks before I decide.

Guys I had a nightmare last night. No joke guys, that we lost on the last play again and Kelly got fired and players started turning on each other and we lost like 2-3 commits. It was bad. I woke up and I asked my wife today isn't sunday right. She said no it is Thursday. I was like yessss the game wasn't played yet.

The ND side of this equation is a single game. The Cub's side of the equation is one game in a seven game series. Any questions? And you have halftime, so you can watch the Cubs for 15 minutes in the third inning and all of the 8th and 9th innings.

I'll likely watch every snap, and turn to the Cubs during commercials, halftime, and of course once the game is over.

Similar to what you said, I get Notre Dame for 12 or 13 games a year, while I get the Cubs for 162+. Although the Cubs and Irish are my two biggest passions in sports, ND takes priority because they play so few games.
