Normally I would agree but the scouting report on Barkley is that he's a once in a generation talent (think AP). If he's there at 5, Broncos should not hesitate IMO.

You shouldn't be surprised if you watched this freak the last 3 years.

He isn't your ordinary every day RB that drops on the front porch.

Although the last 3 classes or so have had an elite/ rare RB now.

I'll be surprised if he is even there at #5.

If we do sign Cousins, I’ll go Chubb.

Allen is easily my least favorite choice.

Allen seems to fit what Elway wants in a QB and Kubiak

I would take Nick Chubb from Georgia in the 3rd we seem lucky with injuries. pre-Ijorie he was best RB in this draft!

Even if Barkley is there, I don't expect Denver to take him. From my understanding, Chubb, Nelson, Smith all are higher priority.

Kubiak has his fingers all over this draft... so we know what that means for RB.

I’m just curious how many internet twitter blogger have actually watch 4 complete games of Josh Allen and are making remarks based on career stats
The NFL scouting community can’t evaulste QBs so I guess any opinion of a QB has as much chance of being right than the NFL Scouts themelseves

There’s one scout on Twitter who scouted for the Bears and ripped Allen for his 56 % completion yet his own team while he was there traded 2 #1 picks for Cutler who was a 57% passer in college.

Allen Showed Enough to me I would want to see his pro day now.Still not sold on him but I would be okay if they think he is okay after meeting with him and talking to him and working with him in the SR bowl. My guess is the Staff still is in love with Mayfield

The problem with playing QB in the NFL is it is so much more the the physical tools. It is so mentally demanding and a really good QB has to be a student of the game. Peyton wasn't the most physically gifted player, but he was able to dominate the mental side of the position and had enough physical tools to be in the discussion as one of the best of all time.

But yes.

There are soooooooooooo many good players who don't have it mentally. Then you have others who like you said are physically gifted like many others but they have the mental aspect and the work ethic to get there.

Iowa Hawkeyes are a prime example. Ferentz doesn't play you if you don't have it mentally.

I would take Barley for 3-4 years even if we wear him out. I want a game changer at #5 not really a plodder who doesn't really change a game like a G. Dropping back I'm OK with a G.

My favorite thing for Denver to do would be to draft Allen at QB. That seems almost inexplicable.

My 2nd favorite thing would be for Denver to do some sort of massive trade up for Barkley that costs them an extra 1st rounder and maybe other picks.
