Snyder better be careful. He'll bleed money if he walks into this season owning the team, the other owners are lurking, and with Bezos gone maybe the bids come down.

You know the media and whoever was running around in November saying the team will likely sell for $7 billion got his hopes up. With inflation high as it is I was wondering how much someone would be willing to pay for the team. As it is he has received offers more than a billion more than Denver sold for. I am assuming the stadium is part of the deal but all that can be done with that place is to flatten it.

Not to mention all the stink and crap he has put on the organization.

I agree, after getting pissed and being an ass with the former minority owners he spent more money than he has .... not to mention a yacht and two $50 million homes. The NFL should have never let him go above the debt ceiling a second time.

Why would he pay way over what the team is worth? He is smarter than that. It was Dan that overpaid for players etc.

That's exactly what I was thinking. He got a look at the books and said "nah I'm good." You have no stadium, no fans, no brand, and an average football team......and you want how much?

I listened to Kevin today too and I agree. I think (i don't know) that the Harris group will get there. I hope he wins the bid. He has ownership experience as does Magic. Earvin would be a smaller but excellent advocate for the team.

Sportico reports Commanders owner Daniel Snyder has agreed to sell the team for $6 billion to Philadelphia 76ers/New Jersey Devils owner Josh Harris.​

If true — and there is no reason to believe it isn't — the $6 billion price tag would obliterate the previous $4.65 billion record set by the Broncos' sale. Of course, it also seems like something of a disappointment considering some of the rumored prices. The Commanders are a distressed asset after two-plus decades of Snyder's disastrous control, but they are still one of only 32 NFL teams in the world. They are also a sleeping giant. The Commanders had one of the league's most passionate fanbases until Snyder did everything he could to destroy it. It's also a monster, growing market. If Harris can walk, chew gum and avoid filing frivolous lawsuits at the same time, he could oversee a quick turnaround for this storied franchise. Snyder will retreat to his super yacht to watch Marvel movies on his personal IMAX.
