Bears are in line for a potential 4th round compensatory pick for losing Adrian Amos. I was never a big fan of Amos, I always thought he was the weakest link in our secondary. Adding a potential 4th rounder for him would be fantastic. Our 2020 picks then would be as follows:

2nd, 2nd (Raiders), 4th, 5th, 6th, 6th (could be 5th -- Jordan Howard), 7th.

Not bad at all considering we don't have a 1st. And it's nice knowing the payment for Mack will be paid in full.

Comparatively, the New England Patriots will lead the league by far in 2020 draft picks:

1st
2nd
3rd
3rd (compensatory--likely)
3rd (compensatory--likely)
4th
4th (Bears)
6th
6th (compensatory--likely)
6th (compensatory--likely)
7th
7th

Wow.

It's tantalizing to think that in next year's draft the Raiders select a player with the 1st rounder we gave them at pick #32, followed immediately by our taking a player with the 2nd rounder they gave us at pick #33. Perhaps that scenario is not very likely, but it's certainly within the realm of possibility.

Unfortunately I don’t think record wise we will be better than last year and Oakland won’t be as bad as last year.

Despite the very tough looking schedule for us, at least on paper, I think we have a pretty decent shot of matching last year's record. Oakland on the other hand will probably improve.

Vegas has the Bears at 9.1 victories... I think more like 11.
