Not mine and not talking about the weapons, but.... want.
That's pretty damn sweet. Looks like it'd be pretty easy to build too.

My new best friend, S&W M&P Shield 9mm...
Sweet! This is on my short list for next purchase. What did you think of the break down and cleaning process?Went after work today and ran 50 rds. through it. The damn thing is sooo comfortable to shoot, night and day compared to my PF9. Very accurate to be so small too. We were shooting 32 oz. Gatorade bottles and a couple of those 12oz. Mtn. Dew bottles at around 15+ yds. (just stepped it off) with little trouble.

Excellent. Does this little lever cause any issues during reassembly? Reminds me slightly of reassembling my old 1911.It's really, really easy. It does have a little yellow safety lever you have to engage through the chamber port with a small tool (I use a Capri Sun straw lol, works well for lots of stuff) after you lock the slide open before the slide will come off, only takes a second to do but I find it unnecessary. The slide, barrel and chamber (amongst other parts) are all melonite coated so they clean up really well. Other than the little lever thing, I can't think of really anything I don't love about it.
I got some German & Russian firepower for anybody wanting to test my home defense BEEAATTCHH!!

That makes me a bit reluctant as well. I'm used to super simple Glocks. But I am a big fan of S&W's M&P line. I think I should just bite the bullet and get one (a Shield).... maybe if I "give" the Wife one of the Glocks she won't be too mad.Not at all, you just put it back together like any other newer pistol and the lever is automatically locked back in place just by putting the magazine back in the magazine well. Easy peasy. It's a really trivial complaint I guess, but I've never been all that crazy having to have a tool to break down my carry gun. You could prolly do it with your finger but I'm not a big fan of sticking my fingers in the port with it under pressure. The recoil springs are pretty damn stout on this thing.

Coincidentally enough, I looked at a M&P 15 today. Dude wouldn't come any lower than $1549 so I left empty handed. I would like to have one just not quite THAT bad yet. I do think I'm going to order a Hi Point 9mm Carbine pretty soon. They're fun as hell to shoot and only run around $300.
I was surprised by how good the ergonomics were on these. Pretty fun weapon right dar.Guy I work with bought one of these today...

I thought changing out a magazine on these would be awkward but it is actually smoother and easier than on an M4-type platform.
