I'd rather be 3-0 than be 1-2 and bragging about how great it feels to be butt-hurt and defensive.
There are some pretty good teams out there that have not played well yet. Trying to use new math to explain how friggin happy you are is pretty good entertainment.

It's a pity party. They all belong on Oprah's couch crying.

I have a feeling The Pats will not lose more than 3 games this season.

The reason that only 25% of teams that won their division were 3-0 is because there were not as many 3-0 teams as there were 1-2 so it is simple math to understand that there are going to be more 1-2 teams that make it when there were only a couple of 3-0 teams last year. I think if you want to make it fair you should compare how many 1-2 teams made it in relation to how many didn't then how many 3-0 teams made it in relation to how many there were. So I will do the math for you...There were 3 3-0 teams and 2 of them won their division. So that is a 66% success rate (actually below average for NFL history but hey small sample size). There were 15 1-2 teams in the league and 5 of them made the playoffs last year. That is a 33% success rate. Just in case you were wondering 66% is better than 33%. Now if we are actually talking about winning the division then only 4 of those 5 actually won the division so the number drops even more. But since in the NFL it is all about getting to the playoffs I won't go there.

Also he's using percentages, which is besides the point. Last year there we only 2 teams that started out 3-0.
NFL Standings: After 2012 Week 3

So duh, of course there were more teams that won their divisions that started with a lesser record. Breaker must of flunk math if doesn't think that, starting 3-0 gives you a better chance to succeed then being 2-1 or 1-2.

Actually there were 3 teams that started out 3-0 last season (Houston, Atlanta, and Arizona). But your point is correct otherwise.
