Michigan St field goal.

Not one of Nebraska's D-linemen put their hands up, nor was there a rush from a LB in attempt to block it. They literally stood there. I don't understand this type of shit.

I like how all the Michigan State Defenders point right away and look at the ref like, "HEY!!! DID YOU SEE THAT???"

My reaction as a Defender would have been to stand there and go, "WTF?"

you know what your right you have a point but let's be honest the big ten brand is down. this game was a chance for the nation to see if Nebraska is back. I'll be honest i wasn't thinking playoffs I was thinking about getting the brand and respect back. looking back this was a golden opportunity to get back to the top 10 which we haven't been since the week before Nwestern in 2011 when we were 8.

also the way we lost has me shaking my head. msu game plan was simply play smart and aggressive. they knew eventually we will make mistakes and give them gifts. when AA fumbled that was a bad omen. aka uga 2012

I agree.

It was yet another missed opportunity. In a week where underdogs paved the way to inspire others, Nebraska laid an egg and was shown it's place in CFB. Probably end up in the 20-30 area to end the season and the Kool-Aid will start to flow again around spring scrimmage time.

Yea.....seriously. None of this goes on Ameer.

Unfortunate fumble, yes. He was flying through the air upside down though.......so it was kind of a likely situation he could fumble if anyone got a hand on the ball.

Ameer Abdullah is going to tear it up on Sundays.

He's a great player.

Had we opened up some mother fucking holes for him in ANY way, shape or form last night, we would have won the game.

OUR OFFENSIVE LINE SUCKS!!!!!

Our entire Offensive Line would be sitting on the bench if they played for Alabama.

And Ameer Abdullah would be 10x better if he played behind any Offensive Line in the top 15 this year.

He is incredible. Let's not forget what he has done behind trash OL play.

ANd there it is in a nut shell. All our players make mistakes but there is one consistent link that breaks every time you pull this chain.

Our offensive line is a bunch of pussies who don't have enough pride in themselves to get pissed off.

That's the way I see it.

When we were great, we had an Offensive Line made up of guys who were mean. They'd walk up to the line of scrimmage and tell the opposing team where we were running the ball. They were just down right nasty.

This OL we have is on its heels ALL THE TIME. Some times so much so that they actually just fall backwards on their ass before the ball is even snapped.

since this is a post game thread, I'm going to do some cross posting.

i think it was that Lee podcast someone posted earlier in the week, they said exactly what we needed to do. We go 4 wide, with Ameer in the slot and Cross in the backfield. Then see what MSU does. if they pull LBs to cover our 4 wide, you jam Cross up the middle. If they don't pull LBs, you try jet sweeps with Ameer or passes with Cross as additional pass protection.

basically, Beck made no adjustments. I was screaming at the TV for some Diamond Formation. I was screaming at him to at least try the jet sweep once. I was screaming at him to get someone behind the LBs and Ss as all of them were flying to the ball on playaction. instead, nothing. the same stuff over and over again that wasn't working.
