Starting to realize RGIII doesn't have a body fit for the NFL

How come no other Redskin QB look like hot dog-shit and take those killer hits except Griffin?

Here's part of the reason

Gruden didn't help with the play calling for RG3 for sure. But yeah, RG3 is a magnet to hits that every other QB in the WORLD just isn't.

He sure doesn't help protect himself.

He's all gangly and shit. Kinda like how Michael Westbrook looked out there. Great athletes, but they flop around all funny and every time they get hit it looks like a body part is gonna fly off somewhere.

OK, from what i have seen so far, and I wont get to watch the whole thing for another six hours..... But I got to ask this. Was Gruden actually trying to get Griffin killed?? We all know the only way he doesnt start the season is if he is injured, some of those play calls looked like Gruden was going to leave him to the Apollo Creed maneuver. If he dies, he dies.

Oh my God that first team offense was pathetic, just more of the same. Not quite believing what I saw last night I just watched the 1st team offense again to try to figure out just what the Hell happened to the passing game when Griffin was in there.

Pass Play 1: Scherff gets totally abused, the defender gets under him and goes right through
Scherff to sack Griff. Play results in 3rd and a mile, end of drive right there.

Pass Play 2: Short dump off on 3rd and 21, give up play.

Pass Play 3: Throw that is batted down. Smith is the one who is abused this time, even with a 7 step drop defender is right on top of the QB when he let go.

Pass Play 4: Short completion to Garcon. Even on this quick throw from the shotgun at the time of release there are 4, count them 4, Lions defenders right on Griffin, one right in his grill. This is getting ridiculous.

Pass Play 5: Incompletion on the left sideline on 3rd and 6. Griff may have waited a hair too long but again Smith gets beaten to the outside and a linebacker stunts and has a free path to the QB causing the incompletion.

First 5 plays the QB had very little chance and nothing close to a clean pocket. We have no backup left tackle fellows.

Pass Play 6: On third and 2 Griffin may have waited a hair too long to deliver to Garcon who was just turning open but Griff was throwing within 2 seconds of the snap. But Smith can not keep the DE out for even 2 seconds, he appeared to miss an assignment and blocked the inside guy, giving the DE a free shot. Brilliant.

Pass Play 7: Griffin comes off his first read, then checks down for a short completion. Nothing to see here, called back for illegal shift.

Pass Play 8: Griffin play fakes, then looks downfield over the middle. Hard to tell what he had, receiver was out of the picture. Could have been on him for not letting it rip, maybe the guy was covered. In any event a split second later he is pulled down by the DL who once again beat Guess Who by simply running him over.

Final Pass Play: 3rd and 16 which as we all know is insurmountable for this offense. As mentioned this one was all on Griffin. He pulls out too soon and in a typically doofus move drops the ball, then gets hurt as the Lions recover. If that play does not summarize the Redskins under Griffin nothing does.

So the bottom line is the offense simply does not function well with Robert Griffin. But anyone who saw those plays understands that was way more on the protection than the QB. With that said they simply can not go through another year like this. Just as losing may not always be on the baseball manager at some point management makes a change just because they can't continue down the same road. If this offense looks like this after 4 games they simply have to make a change at QB.

Someone asked why did the other QBs do so much better? That was obvious, once the Lions pulled their first team defense the Redskins protection was not a problem.

Wow that was a pathetic effort all around from the first team and coaches
RG3 needed some snaps but after a couple series its time to pull him like you would a pitcher in baseball having a bad game
Head coaches are supposed to be able to adapt their game plans to the players on hand Gruden does not look like he can or will do that with RG3
RG3 looks like he needs a lot of work to me

It might be a long season for redskin fans

I agree that in a vacuum, the first team pass protection was worse than the first team QB, and was last year as well. I think they've gotta see the writing on the wall and know that RG3 is no longer the answer either. No way he gets through the season, be it a huge injury or poor play. And I still think Gruden hates him. I would like to see one of the other QBs play with the first team and RG3 play with the second or third team just to see if the results are flipped, but I know we'll never see that.

When the QB takes a shot 2 seconds after receiving the snap what exactly are the coaches and the game plan supposed to do with that?

Teams know RG3 doesn't get rid of the ball quickly, read defenses well, has poor pocket movement and gets injured quickly. So they are going to dial up the blitzes and force him to beat them with his arm. So far RG3 has not proved enough skill to get out of the situation.

If you look at last week's game tape on the play where RG3 ran for the touchdown. He did not pass to an open Grant, he decided to run. He should have passed the ball to one of the two receiver's on the left. The far left CB was sitting down and probably would have made the tackle and hit Grant hard in the slot. However a good QB like Manning or Brady would have used his arm to force the CB to cover the outside receiver more tightly instead of sit down and wait. That is all about defenses respect the passing game/QB. Defenses don't do this against RG3 and it is causing huge problems for everything on offense.

Yes the Oline was terrible blocking, but I agree with Keim when he says the QB is a huge factor in this as well.
