We would have had to beat that to get him, but 7 for Cruz isn't worth it. 9 plus a first round draft pick? Not even a chance in hell. You don't do that for pretty much anyone, and Cruz isn't all that close to elite.

low 1st round pick, if cruz was in the draft he would go much higher than our pick. 7-9 mill is a steal for cruz imo, he probably wanted 10 plus the way he held out so long. i would have been ok with the money he got, considering we traded out of the first looking back i would rather have cruz than what we did. the only reason the pats didnt explore it probably is cuz of cruz size, we had enough smaller talented wrs.

This is the type of game you kind of expect with all the new faces on offense. Since 07 Patriots fans expect huge fantasy numbers from the Patriots offense and I am no exception, but there are other ways to win games. The offense will get better and hopefully at the end of the season they are good enough to make a splash in the playoffs. The defense wasnt bad. Good thing they were playing the Bills, but a win is a win.

My Bottom Line: They had better figure out the receiving situation and quickly.

Was it only me, or did it look like the snaps were low and Brady was reaching to snag them before they hit the ground all game long?

Didn't appear that way to me. And Brady's fumble was clearly on Brady.

8 for Cruz is a ripoff in it's own right. When you also have to give up a first round draft pick, even a low one, he is not even remotely worth it.

Did not appear to me like that. They didn't look perfect all the time but nothing that really should have messed up brady's rhythm.

For what it's worth, which is not much, the defensive performance was a lot better than I thought and I thought it was good. If the Bills had put up exactly those numbers every game over the entire course of last season, they'd have rated as the #32 passing offense in the league, and #31 overall offense. The Patriots rank #5 in passing defense right now.

Even your average rookie QB has a lot of better days than E.J. Manuel had yesterday. Still not reading too much into it, but that was a good defensive performance - it's promising.
