this game was total BULLSHIT. buffalo playing their sb and still losing thats embarassing.

despite having to deal with that i thought the defense played well but could have been better. these games are hard to judge cuz one team playing their sb you cant really evaluate your team. im glad we won but i wouldnt read too much into this game.

pats d only let up 286 total yards, and 14 points. they shut spiller down one of the most dangerous backs in the league predicted this year he was ranked 4th in fantasy. most of the buffalo scoring came from our offense screwing up. dennard and talib look great outside, they threw deep on dennard a few times and didnt get nothing. this d is elite considering what it did to a team playing their sb. i was hoping for a little more aggression from patricia blitzing but i liked the tight man coverage they played outside. bills were just dumping the ball off to rbs all game anyways so blitzing wouldnt have helped much probably.

Once again, the defense played well, but a decent game against the bills is absurdly unconnected to being elite.

As for the game in whole, they were missing two of the three guys I expect to be their top receiving options though out the year. The remainder of the offense was sloppy, and had issues with protection, and like I said elsewhere in my predictions for the season, I expect them to lay some eggs. This was an egg and they made the plays down the stretch to win anyways. Chalk it up as a learning experience, Belichick will teach from it, and you move on.

what you thoughts on the game? pats should have destroyed buff but they played their sb so it made it close. if they had more talent they probably win. sb games are dangerous, you never know what team is going to want to play way over their heads against the pats. we saw it with detroit in the preseason. deffintly saw it against the bills they were playing with a mission. pats dont play their sb against any scrub teams, they only bring it against the best teams at the end of the season. houston got ne's sb last year cuz they were the main threat to them.

I think that until the Pats show me something, I'm gonna be reserved. I predicted an easy NE win and was wrong again. Sure, they played well but Brady's synergy with his general recieving core was absent. We had issues with coverage, Talib got burned like a high school player on that touchdown at the half. Vareen saved the day after Riddley left and thank heavens that Danny came back and played so well but we were down with 5 seconds left. Not exactly what you, me, or anyone else predicted.

The only upsides were solid defensive play and the last drive.

This had "trap game" written all over it coming in and lived up to that expectation. The Bills are definately improved. A few worries coming out of the game; is Amendola's groin injury going to be ok? Even hobbling around, he still managed 10 catches and did indeed look like the second coming of WW. What's up with Ridley's fumbles? He had the same problem last year. If he's healthy, Bolden may get a lot of work against the Jets. Blount wasn't very impressive either. Still looked vulnerable to backs catching the ball over the middle and running with it. Will BB give guys like Collins achance to try stopping that play? Still looking for a deep threat. Dobson didn't play and Boyce never really got a chance. BB might make some roster changes going into week 2.

2 or 3 years ago do you not remember 25 -24 the only way the pats won was on the kickoff fumble it does happen on opening day every time against the bills.brady needed extra time to mesh with the recievers which he never got, protection was biggest issue(after ridley of course)

Was the field surface slippery at Buffalo? I didn't see the game but am reading reports that several Pats' players slipped (notably, Ridley and Sudfield which led to turnovers). Interesting also that Brady didn't try to work the tight ends into the game plan. Big difference when Gronkowski and Hernandez aren't there. I hope Gronk gets back soon. It sounds like maybe by game 3.

i dont think it was slippery the riddley fumble he just tried to cut at a weird angle/momentum. im surprised they didnt throw to sudfeld more. he supposed to be AH replacement they need to use him. we need gronk back bad and get back to normal.

You should factor in Buffalo was without Gilmore and Byrd on defense arguably their two best defensive players so I would consider it a disappointment on your guys part for not crushing them on offense.

But than again ugly wins are part of a season it's just becomes a concern when you have too many of them.

when a team plays their sb against you its hard to outplay them. we didnt have gronk either. brady fumbles at the one yardline, ridley fumbles out of the blue for no reason, game should have been 30-14 at least and thats against someones sb. pats deserve credit going on the road and beating a team that is froathing at the mouth to beat you. brady is 21 - 2 against buffalo, they wanted so bad to beat us and you could feel the dissapointment on their faces as the kick went in. it just wasnt any other game for the bills. it meant alot to them to beat the pats.

Look, the Pats looked bad. I said before the game, this was going to either answer a lot of questions or start some more, if the Pats win a blowout that's great but if they win by only 1-3 that's bad news. The Pats should be able to beat Buffalo even if they're not looking good, and that's exactly what happened.

It isn't the end of the world. Brady to Amendola should only get better. Gronk will come back. The rookies will develop. And the defense looked pretty good, surrendering just 14 points, with just one sustained drive - granted, against a Buffalo offense that won't be setting any records, but still. But overall this game sends up some serious red flags.

Dobson.

Seriously Cruz wasn't even worth the salary without a draft pick thrown in.

cruz got 6 year 45 mill, his cap is 7-9 mill over the structure of the contract. i think dobson is nowhere near as talented as cruz. only problem is cruz is a smaller wr and we needed a big outside guy. eh i dunno, giving brady cruz would have been fun to watch.

We would have had to beat that to get him, but 7 for Cruz isn't worth it. 9 plus a first round draft pick? Not even a chance in hell. You don't do that for pretty much anyone, and Cruz isn't all that close to elite.
