#23 seems about right, although I have to immediately question any rankings list that puts Seattle at #1. They're an upward-trending team for sure, but nowhere near as loaded as San Francisco, imo...

"Entering his fourth season, Fox has never played an offensive snap."

I love when professional sports writers make blatant mistakes like this. If it's your job to be accurate with your writing, you think you'd do some fact-checking, rather than just guessing at it.

Fox hasn't played any impactful amount on offense, but he has taken live, regular-season snaps at tackle...

has he? I dont ever remember him being in a regular season game. He was always either hurt or inactive. And if he was active, he didnt play

Yeah- he's never started or played in any meaningful games, but he did get some spot-duty over the course of his 1st two years. Pretty sure he didn't take any snaps last year though...

2010 - 4 games
2011 - 0 games
2012 - 1 game (Thanksgiving v. Houston)

Not sure how many plays, or where he lined up, or if it was on offense or special teams.

I hope Fox blows up this year and is an impact on offense. He is a great dude, had a good time talking to him last year. Always like to see guys like him succeed.

He played pretty well at RT the game that we broke our road losing streak against Tampa Bay.

Is this where I call bull shit?? Like a guy playing against Lion scrubs at a charity event is believable. That firefighters vs.Lions is all bs...
Oh wait I forgot I played in those with you.
Just figured I would clarify. Don't need a CBS part deux!!

#23 seems way too low, this isnt a top 10 team by any means but we arent a cellar dweller either. Seriously, the Redskins at #7 was bad enough but the Bears at #8? No damn way, thats idiotic.

It does seem to stretch credibility. :agree:

Yeah, bad list all around. I can maybe see the Skins in the top 10 with RG3 and all, but man I wish the analysts would get off the Bear's nuts. They just aren't that good. Cutler is a terrible QB who folds when it counts- look at the last two seasons plus him quitting n the NFC championship as proof.

And Seattle is a talent team, but #1? I don't think so. As much as I hate them, the 49 queers have a dominating roster on paper, which is what this article is all about.

I've never been an Evan Silva fan, though. He's gotten where he is through complete bullshit, imo. I challenge you to read anything of his that doesn't have at least one blatant error in it. He's very much a shoot from the hip type, just writes what he thinks he remembers, instead of checking facts first like a true professional writer should...

While I agree -- I would put SF at #1, it isn't really a stretch to rank Seattle #1 after their offseason acquisitions and the draft. Seattle finished last year at 11-5, San Fran finished at 11-4-1.

Seattle added two of best DE's available on the FA market in Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett, as well as traded for Percy Harvin to give them a legit #1 WR. They needed to add depth to their DT position and drafted Jordan Hill and Jesse Williams.

Most don't realize -- SF and Seattle were virtually identical in Total Defense last year. SF was 3rd at 299 ypg allowed. Seattle was 4th at 303 ypg allowed.

Both of these teams are LOADED. That is what happens when you find impact players outside the 1st round. San Fran and Seatttle are two perfect examples of this.

:agree: I do realize that. Have no problem with that ranking .
I also love how you can always find a way to put the impact players from late rounds in any topic. It definitely fits this topic. Bears ranking is :bullshit:

Cutler is great when the refs are giving him a free 15 yards whenever Suh gets within 5 yards of him.

it isn't just late rounds for impact players with these two teams. of course, it helps late round picks, but looks at some of these picks for Seattle, for instance.

Red Bryant -- 4th round
Kam Chancellor -- 5th round
Richard Sherman -- 5th round
Bobby Wagner -- 2nd round
KJ Wright -- 4th round
Russell Wilson -- 3rd round

To a lesser extent, San Fran, who like the Lions have hit on a lot of 1st round picks:

Navarro Bowman -- 3rd round
Colin Kaepernick -- 2nd round
Chris Culliver -- 3rd round
Dashon Goldson -- 4th round
Tarrell Brown -- 5th round

Detroit has to start finding impact starters in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th rounds, if they want to build a winning franchise.

the Lions are just like Rodney Dangerfield in the old Miller Lite commercials, they can't get any respect.
