according to Lebrun.
How the hell will signing him help the sabres!?

We already have a top 1 and 2 center who are far superior to him in connolly and roy.

We also have the up and coming ennis and gerbe who are arguably better or at par with him, and then we have the Goose.

That gives us 5 centers currently competing for 4 spots. Not to mention that Rob isn't exactly a spring chicken, the man is 35. Exactly where does Rob fit into the puzzle that is the Sabres Roster? Going in the wrong direction and wasting money on this one Regier... That means it'll probably happen...

Not a great signing, but not a bad one. Some guys can still play at a high level at 35 and hopefully he still can play.

At least Nieds can help teach those young guys to how to win.

Now that I see the numbers for this contract I'm not that disappointed with the signing, but we need to sign a good 2 way winger or a powerforward, and a 2nd pairing d-man to fill out the ranks, and we only have an estimated 3-4 million to do it if the Sabres stick to spending 56-57 million this year.
