Even with zubrus out the roster is "full" the only options on taking out is barch or mattuea. Heck i want to see what that lokoniov guy can do. So say barch sits for poni. Where's that leave the Russian center? Stupid to sit mattuea since we just burned year 1. Then if zubrus comes back the obvious choice would be to sit mattuea for the playoff push

As of now, in my opinion, Russian guy is the odd man out. Matteau has done enough to stay in my opinion. Especially considering the lack of physicallity from our forwards.

I believe Lou said it was to replace the size, strength, experience of Zubrus. They do play very similar styles, and are both monsters, Zubrus is just a better version of it. I expect he'll be getting some PK time.

from what i'm seeing or i've seen, the young players, Butler & Matteau, have not been out of place or behind in the learning curve. Butler's puck handle and quick shot release is something you want, Matteau being 18, already a physical guy who's going on energy, has been on the good side(for me) and hasn't made many bad decisions.

yeah, like to see this Loko guy get a fair shot, we're hitting the fences so far with Butler and Matteau, why not try Loko?

Zubs & Poni were awesome together that i know....

I get that, i guess that's an understandable move but idk, I think i'm more for giving the young guys a fair chance. If they weren't playing well then fine, but we're on top of the east for a good reason, don't want to see that broken up.

can honestly seeing them moving jj if they can get anything of value for him. like said before by soemone i want to see what the russian can do. heck if you had enough in you to trade for him then they must see something in his game.
