I would say its a fair mix between current and former players. Thats a good question about Justin. If he stays do we wanna keep him on the banner just to have another vote next year on who takes his spot?

Plus Darken in response to one of my questions confirmed it is not easy getting the banner redone. Not practical having to redo it every year

Darken65, the people have spoken and agreed with you, it shoul be Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, Ronnie Lott, and Seifert.

@DoobeeDoobeeDoo - I think it should be Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, and Jerry Rice, the trophies in the middle, then Ronnie Lott, Steve Young, and then Seifert. Coaches would be bookends, QBs next to each, and Rice with Montana.

If a 7th or 8th player is necessary, add Roger Craig and Bryant Young.

Sounds good to me. I know Seifert didn't get the votes but it makes sense to have him up there to even things out. If anyone objects just say so and we can debate a different angle. I would only add that I would like the trophys to be in the foreground now that there is room.

I was thinking the last or the first, but two issues from them - we don't want everyone to have a ball because it might be spacing issue or redundancy (Joe, Jerry, and Steve?) but the TD takes up more space (though a better pic, IMO) - where do we crop it?

Bryant Young is a really good one. Played whole career in SF.

Might be hard to find a decent image of QB not holding a football but those were just some I shot up here. We do need to find ones that can crop to equal the size of the one staying though. Everyone should post some more images to choose from.

Actually, strike my comment on the number of footballs in the banner (yes, I avoided saying footballs without foot). It works because Joe and Steve are opposite-handed QBs, so it brings symmetry if they are on opposite sides of the trophies.

I think it will be a good one. We gotta get it right cause once done we will have it for awhile
