Personally I think they need a guy who knows the NBA. Blatt messed up multiple times these playoffs and didn't make good adjustments.

He was a mistake to get in the first place.

What adjustments could be made? They were playing with just 7-8 guys in the Finals.

Stop the iso. Stop taking the shot clock down to 5 seconds then chucking up a brick.

Could've sworn that was Lebron doing that.

At some point, the musical coaching chair is going to get old. It seems like every year the Cavs are getting a new coach.

I agree it gets old but that doesn't mean we settle for Blatt. He needs some experience as an assistant. Taking moz out in g5 is just one example of him making questionable decisions. Yeah GS went small but he was our 2nd best offensive player, we needed him.

What quality coach is going to take that job? Even if one does, after 10+ seasons, if Lebron hasn't learned to stop dominating the ball while running a spread-iso, having a new coach won't change that.

Hell, they played better without Love and Irving than with. I think the results would've been the same, regardless.
Im not arguing we'd have better results this year with a diff coach. He did the best with the hand he was dealt. No one could have got around those injuries imo unless we took 3 of the first 4.

So you say the guy needs to go. Who do you get to replace him? What are you suggesting?

Whoever the GM feels will fit best. Alvin Gentry is a good coach, maybe look at one of Pops assistants.

They should have thought of that before they hired Blatt, now they are stuck with him. I would be very surprised if they bring in someone else.

HE DIDN'T HAVE THE HELP NEEDED TO WIN AND WAS MISSING TWO PLAYERS. Give him Irving and Love and that series would have gone to 7 games easily or been over for the Warriors by now.

Did you watch the Bulls series? He had mistakes there.

Did you watch game 5 of the finals where he kept Mozgov, or second best offensive player out?

So what?

Every coach makes mistakes and so do players. Go play some one 50 games of chess over the next month and tell me if you made mistakes. Blatt got them to the finals in his first year with a team that over-achieved and you're already bitching for his head? Are you kidding me?

I want to win now and nothing against Blatt but a coach with experience would be much better option then he is. You don't have to agree but let's not act like he is a good coach in this league. He still has years of experience to go and failed to make adjustments on iso's and running the clock down to 5 seconds before making a move. If he can't control the players (Lebron) then he's jsut a puppet anyways. Get a guy in there that knows the NBA!

He did a good job in the playoffs when you consider he lost Love and Irving.

Yes no one is disputing that. I question his experience which we don't have the time to test out and grow right now. He should have sat on a bench as the assistant for 2-3 years before ever being considered for the HC job.
