I keep hearing slavery made the US. I just don’t see it.
Economically, what made the US powerful, because economics made our country powerful. Sorry, but it wasn’t slavery.
You could argue the transcontinental railroad is what built this country, but that was 1863, just after slavery ended.
You could argue he industrial revolution made this country an economic power, but the revolution basically skipped the evil south.
Or, you could argue it was WWII.
None of which were driven by slavery.
