I'm starting to think at this point we have broken our Trump hating/ white hating/ truth hating comrades on this political thread. Seems logical reasoning has prevailed,,.as it always will. At some point you have to see the stars above our world as huge spheres of hydrogen and helium hot gases of fury, and not just cute little twinkling objects in the sky that you wish upon. In other words... At some point you have to realize the truth of the matter at hand. I think they have... or just can't fake it anymore.

no they will come with other things. you will see , trust me it is loath to them to admit they weren't right the strategy perfected by a few of the guys who bolted permanently is this 'let dad post 1000 posts debunking their POV " come back later with some new (old ) talking points , then when i say i posted "x" , claim i didnt then we start the cycle all over again

the other strategy will be "X" news organization is always partisan, hence their favorite news can be and we therefore can make your news source not up to speed . the old , their partisanship is better , smarter and more valid then say mine

they will also use opinion pieces and ignore facts like the southern strategy fiasco that was totally obliterated and the counter was an opinion piece by a former Reagan staffer who obviously bought the big lie from liberal educators in college who cant bring a fact up to refute what i wrote

how do you have a flip when no one in federal govt actually changed parties ? strom thurmond out of 200 dixiecrats actually changed parties one , one person constitutes a wave , laughable

but its "common knowledge " blah blah blah , its a common LIE that ignorant people buy into

soon i will start posting about our press since i have shown numerous examples of poor journalism

While I am disillusioned with both of our political parties right now, my biggest disappointment/concern is what is happening with the Press. A free and unencumbered press is critical to the success of a democracy. We no longer have that. The press, as most recently shown by CNN of the President's campaign announcement coverage shows, has abdicated their real responsibilities. In effect, they have picked a side. Which means that the people are not getting the real scoop on what is happening from the Press.

it bears remembering that the purpose of a free press , like free speech, is to nurture the mind ,communicate ideas, challenge ideologies ,share notions , inspire creativity , and advocate and reinforce america's founding principals which is to contribute to a vigorous productive , healthy and happy individual and well functioning civil society and republic .

moreover , the media are to expose official actions aimed at squelching speech and communication . when they act as a propaganda tool for a single political party and ideology they destroy not only their own purpose but threaten the existence of our republic

unlike the early press in the USA today's newsrooms and journalists are hostile to Americas founding principals traditions or institutions . they do not promote free speech or press freedoms despite their self serving and self righteous claims . what they are is societal filters attempting to enforce uniformity of thought , social and political activism , centered on a progressive ideology and agenda . issues , events , groups , individuals that do not fit the narrative are dismissed or diminished while those that do fit the narrative are elevated and celebrated.

this influences culture , the govt and the national psyche

it defines a media created reality whether or not it has any basis in truth or reality in which people base their thoughts , beliefs and lives

and if one actually criticizes the motives and actual work product ,meaning one or more newsrooms , the response is often knee -jerk and emotionally charged with the inquirer or critic portrayed as hostile to freedom of the press and the collective media circling the wagons around themselves
