He SHOULD be back if he wins. Simple as that. Im saying if he wins his next 2 or 3. Depending how the playoff win happens he SHOULD be back next year based on production and merit. Contender for a Super Bowl is a ridiculous ask and you know it. If you are not on board with a playoff winning QB who has talent, then I don't know what you are searching for.

Botton line is if he wins 3 games including the playoff game the QB search is over. If he loses the search will continue or depending how we lose he could still come back if the other off-season options is not an upgrade.
Well if 5-5 is production and merit in your eyes then you have low standards. If contending for super bowls is not your standard then I don’t know what your standards are

Of course, everyone wants to win the Super bowl. Forget the record. If he wins in the playoffs, he is a keeper.

not in my book , he is injury prone and we gave up too much to get 5-5 out of him

I could be wrong, but from your last post I felt like you were speaking for me in saying we aren't a QB away. When I say close I never suggested we were a QB away. I was just trying to clarify that by posting what I feel our needs are.

So, If Carson Wentz wins two straight and brings his record to 4-4 we should keep him but we should get rid of the guy who is 5-3-1 and cost 1/14th of what Wentz costs? I am sorry but how does that work in your head?

If the Saints beat the Eagles tomorrow, the Cowboys will field their A team next week. With help they could end up as the #1 seed.

again, that record had nothing to do with TH. If CW wins a playoff game, he is definitely coming back like it or not.

For Wentz to deserve to stay, he has to not only win his next three games, but be the reason they won them.

His and Heinicke's numbers this year are very, very comparable, with Heinicke slightly ahead in most categories - including passer rating - but Wentz with more attempts per game.

If the Commanders expect to draft a first-round QB, Heinicke makes a lot more sense as somebody to hold down the fort until that guy is ready. If they want to make a play for another seasoned QB (like Carr) you obviously wouldn't keep Wentz.

It's easy to get out of the Wentz relationship before March 17. After that the Commanders are on the hook for several million.

If the Commanders stick with Wentz, it's only because he plays well here at the end AND other options are gone.

You say it has nothing to do with TH but make it seem like CW will be the reason we win…if we win.

This is why you are a hypocrite.

If you make the playoffs you are contending for a super bowl. No sport is more abundantly clear and obvious about this as football. The 8-8 giants beat the best team ever assembled.

His reasoning is questionable at best, blind worship for CW is probably more accurate however.

I disagree. The last 4 times the Skins made the playoffs. They had no chance to contend for a title. Winning a game would've been a major accomplishment for them. And on that note. The Giants were at least 10-6 n the first wildcard team when they beat the Pats. I know this because the Skins were 9-7 and the 2nd wildcard team. The Giants were 9-7 the 2nd time they beat the Pats.

TH had a better running game and defense got 2 turnovers a game for him while he started. You have to factor that into the equation. You just can't compare records, there is more to it than that. If we make the playoffs and he plays well in the playoffs win or lose I think he stays for 2023. Just my opinion.
