It is sometimes referred to as the postseason. There are a number of teams that continue playing football after your Browns are done.

Those teams with the best records that qualify for the postseason play in a single elimination type format ending in the final championship game referred to as the Super Bowl. It is somewhat popular for people to watch. It usually gets pretty good TV ratings.

The Patriots are usually one of the teams in it and then the other team is pretty inconsistent. The last team to win it was the Philadelphia Eagles. You probably didn't hear about it though because the Eagles fans around here dont really talk about it.

If the Panthers, Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins, Lions and Seahawks ALL finish 8-8, then the 5 seed would go to the Seahawks and the 6 seed would go to Carolina. Which means they need the Eagles to go 1-1, with a win over Washington, the Vikings need to lose out and Carolina needs to win out, including a win over New Orleans IN New Orleans which is probably still for HFA in the NFC.

The AFC is a muddy mess right now... Mainly just the 4-6 seeds could shakeup with both TEN & IND knocking on the door, but still so much could change with the seeding over the last 2 weeks.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see the Titans get in. Both games at home. That week 17 game with the Colts should decide it, imo. I think the Ravens lose at the Chargers this week and Tenn finishes 10-6.

Yes, Isee now. PIT has not won the division yet. There are 2 spots up for grabs. Whatever team does not win the division can still win the WC.

I guess it means MIA needs a lot of help.

checking the standings, the Patriots have not clinched a playoff spot.

That leads me to believe that if the Pats lose their last two, and Miami wins their last two, Miami wins the division.

Of course that's a long shot. The Bills remaining two games have obvious playoff implications.

Have to go with the Saints in the NFC if the road to the Super Bowl is through New Orleans. They are going to be tough in the playoffs at home. I don'y know what to make of the AFC. I like Mahomes and the Chiefs offense, but their defense is suspect. And the Steelers can be a dangerous team on offense, just not sure what defense shows up week to week. I don't ever recall there being this much parity in the league as this season where so few teams really stand out.
