Creep, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Garcia is on short term IR and is eligible to be activated after week 6.
I thought the same, but I am being told he done for the yr.

He was flat out terrible. Guy has lost it and not having Cannon meant both OT needed help. 3rd and 1 and Solder can't hold his block for 3 seconds and his guy trips up Gills....ugh!
Actually, it was more like he was run around like he was an orange drill cone.Yeah I wasn't happy about that play.. Solder got run over like he was a piece of paper

Is it too soon to start a wish list for the 2018 draft???
1st - OLine.
2nd - Oline
3rd - Oline...
Kidding, we need a fast sack machine at DE and a fast coverage/sack machine at LB too. Key word would seem to be "Fast" but the unseen key words are "GOOD KNEES".
You mean aside from the two OL he drafted?I'm shocked BB didn't address this in this years draft.

That's what Garcia was drafted for, ostensibly, but he got hurt. I guess you could argue they could've skipped trading for Cooks and drafted Ramczyk or Robinson at 32, but neither of those guys is exactly setting the league on fire, either.
Look around the league..there's a massive shortage of capable OL talent.
Solder hasn't played well, but he's far from the only guy that's been made to look bad by the Texans' front 7, either. He missed a decent chunk of camp, too...we might yet see better from him (acknowledging the injuries may have caught up to him, too, though).

As for a "fast sack machine", Cassius Marsh might qualify once he completely gets into the Pats system. He did look better against the Texans than he had earlier. I also feel the Pats need help, with an accent on speed. I am especially interested in a fast LB to cover running backs coming out of the backfield.
Brady is pace to be sacked 54 times this year. I know he's in fantastic shape but that's a lot of hits he's going to be taking if things don't improve. Hopefully the defense can step up and not allow so many points so our running game can have a chance and lessen the load on Brady's shoulders.
Definitely agree on the cover LB. All things considered, would the Patriots have been better off paying Jamie Collins his deal that he got in Cleveland (4yrs. 50 million) or was it better spent on Gilmore (5yrs. 65 million)? As of now, I would rather have Collins. Butler and Rowe are serviceable DB's. Having that speed LB would be great.
Gilmore has a decent game last week finally. So not a huge loss. I was hoping this would be his break out week, oh well.Patriots Star Ruled Out Sunday With Concussion

Dont'a Hightower feels he still has a ways to go after missing time
I'm hearing that Solder is out????? Non football issue?
