What player, maybe a new guy or someone who is stepping in for a departed player, will become a household name this year?

For OSU, it's gonna be Curtis Samuel. OSU's offense has plenty of big names - Barrett/Jones, EzE, Braxton. However, Samuel is a monster. His touches will probably drop a bit with Braxton's position change, but he's going to light some MFers up this season, both at H-back and backup RB.

Jeremy Johnson. I honestly believe he may have been the best QB in the SEC last year, the coaches just wanted the X factor marshal brought....I'm biased though.

Carl Lawson on D is going to be a beast also.

Never know, but I think that junior OLB Tyus Bowser might have a breakout season. He played DE in a 4-3 defense the past two years and showed some pass rushing skills, but he was really undersized as a DE at only 6-3 and 228 lbs. I am hopeful that Bowser, who has also played for the basketball team both years at UH, flourishes as a 3-4 OLB in what I'm hoping is a very aggressive defense fielded by our new DC Todd Orlando. The Houston secondary is extremely skilled. If a guy like Bowser can pressure QBs, the Cougar defense figures to be quite good.

Also enthused about freshman RB Tyus Gray, another Tyus. He is a pretty highly rated prospect who I'm hoping can make an impact as a returner and/or a WR, since I'm expecting our senior RBs Kenneth Farrow and Ryan Jackson to get the bulk of touches out of the backfield.

Adoree Jackson - played both offense and defense last year, but much more on defense than offense. Apparently, they are going to expand his role on offense this season.

Juju Smith - should take over as the #1 receiver this year and put up Woods, Lee, Agholor type numbers.

Su'a Cravens - has basically had a defensive position invented for him. Should make a lot of big plays for the D this year, then be a first round draft pick.

Also very hopeful that our "QB whisperer" Tom Herman really coaches up junior QB Greg Ward Jr,. who is a tremendous athlete, though still a bit raw as a QB.

Finally, WR Chance Allen, a transfer from Oregon who never did much as a Duck, is hopefully poised for a breakout year, since our WRs are a bit thin after losing our top guys.

WR - Tevaun Smith

RB - LeShun Daniels Jr. - This is more of a hope. I think he has the skills to be a "good" back. He's fast and agile, but his downside is that he cannot read a block.

Hopefully we can establish a run game. Akeel Lynch could be a really good one.

CB Tee Shepard. Projected starter last year but missed all season due to injury.
