Assuming (correctly) Edmonton gets Matthews, does something like Hall and Matthews for Subban, Galchenyuk and Montreal's first work? I know Galchenyuk earned some pretty good reviews as a centre but putting him on a second line as a winger with Draisaitl has to be pretty tempting.

I think Montreal would like a dman back to offset the loss of PK, BBB. Would Edmonton add Klefbom to that package? As you say, Matthews would be a huge game changer if/when the Oil win the draft lottery.

I think Montreal would like a dman back to offset the loss of PK, BBB. Would Edmonton add Klefbom to that package? As you say, Matthews would be a huge game changer if/when the Oil win the draft lottery.

It's a weird situation when we're talking about a first overall pick that will likely be a 1C for years to come and it actually makes more sense for the drafting team to trade him.

To Klefbom though, I think Montreal would have to throw another piece in but it does make sense.
