When Schultz and Malkin come back Blueger and Riikola better stay in the lineup.

Hence Johnson and Wilson should not play.
I like Wilson, get rid of Simon. WTF does he ever do?

True he is very one dimensional his value really is on the top 6 but if he isn't with either Crosby or Malkin he doesn't need to be out there.

What is funny I made that comment as Wilson scored his first NHL goal. :L My issue with Wilson is I think they are tight casting him into an enforcer role which he shouldn't be that either.

Has anyone heard any news on Bjugstad. The video looked innocent since it was quick but the way he reacted and went directly to the locker room didn't bode well.

Also I don't see any video's of it either.

Yeah seeing it live and the replay, it didn't seem like much but his reaction wasn't good.
I hope it isn't serious because he still doesn't seem comfortable out there with the Penguins., needs the playing time. On the other hand McCann is playing good.

Why they traded Sprong and kept Simon is beyond me.... maybe he has dirt on Sullivan:noidea:
I think the issue is Simon is at his ceiling but Sprong had potential to still garner a return.

So, does this mean that Sullivan knows how to use him?

I think Simon has to stay in the lineup because he's capable of meshing with Sid and Geno better than anyone else in the bottom six, which allows them to spread out to three scoring lines.

Guentzel-Crosby-Kessel
Simon-Malkin-Rust
McCann-Bjugstad-Hornqvist
Pearson-Blueger-Aston-Reese

would be my fully healthy line combos. Cullen is too old to play every game, and he's faltering a lot lately. Maybe giving him games here and there makes sense, but not every single one. Wilson's played fine, but he's got no scoring threat at all. I think Aston-Reese can do everything Wilson can, but he's more likely to net a couple goals. Pearson, too, is a decent crasher who can also shoot, even if he's streaky.

For the love of God, though, scratch Johnson when Schultz gets back at least. I'd be playing Ruhwedel over him right now to at least have two pairings with a righty on them. But they'll probably scratch Riikola and let Maatta's game take a hit instead. (Olli's been solid for just about all season, but he's clearly at his best--and his most physical--when paired with Riikola.)
