This game is a mess. And Hurdle mismanaged the bullpen again. No reason to push Burnett into the 7th on a night when he clearly didn't have it.

Not that you want to root for the other team but that was pretty cool seeing Medlen pitch in the majors again after two TJ surguries.

This match up has to favor the Buc's tonight with Cole on the mound. Vargas has 8 starts and 6 have been against Min & Clev. His career appears to be one of mediocrity. Will Ishikawa play tonight? It was nice to see his contribution last night. He normally would not play against the lefty, but the bench is depleted. It will be interesting to see what Hurdle does.

That was such a bizarre play, Marte's double. Seems odd to allow a ball to hit a player and go over to be a home run, but not to hit the front of the fence, especially since if it hits the top of the fence and goes over it is a home run. If that distinction isn't explicitly in the rules, I don't see how you can make it on this call.

That was embarrassing. First, not scoring on Joe Blanton, then back-to-back-to-back defensive gaffes, and then Sofield sending Marte with no one out and down three runs in the ninth. A disaster.

Yeah total let down and it is depressing having Morel, Alvarez and Rodriguez in the same line up.
