The pitchers walked too many guys today, and coupled with the considerable batted ball luck the Giants got, they gave up too many runs.

Frustrating to drop that one, but a series victory on the road against a team we'll be challenging for wild card position is still a big positive. Now with four games in Arizona, we ought to be able to take a winning road trip back into Pittsburgh.

I'm still pleased with a series win over a good team...but losing in that fashion is never okay.

why did mercer bunt. besides harrison he is our hottest bat. then we had stewart and a PH after him.
i would like to see mercer hit.
then what the heck happened on the bases.

Need a 3-1 vs Arizona, 3-3 vs Giants and Rockies isn't terrible, but the Pirates being 6 games below .500 on the road doesn't make me feel good about their chances down the stretch.
