Haha. I just find it hilarious that that was the one thing you picked to correct.

Rooting for two teams doesn't leave enough room in your brain for picking up on humor.

Actually I found the whole post to be pretty accurate except for that one part... ;)

I see your still beating the dead horse.

Summer boredom is starting to set in already. My fallback hobby after hockey is making fun of people.

It was either that or start caring about the Pirates, so...

Yeah, my work is forcing me to attend a game for our "quarterly fun event" in August. I tried to challenge their definition of "fun", but no dice.

I can't wait for September already...

It will slake my thirst for hockey a little bit when the schedule comes out. Planning to go see some away games this year and I can start getting the ball rolling on that when schedules are released.

As for an actual response to this thread, I would just watch games this season. You will find players/a team that you bond with and naturally you will begin following them.

Agreed with a few others that you really need to watch games to find a favorite. Some teams are much more likable than others, and that may certainly be a factor in your selection. You may find one player that you really like and find their team easy to cheer for.

If you come to Boston let me know! We can meet up for a few beers. TD Garden and everything around it is a blast. I plan on hitting up Pittsburgh and Philly this next season.

Yeah, definitely. I'm making my way to Philly this year. A coworker is a Flyers fan; I'm taking him to a Pens/Flyers game here and then we're gonna drive to Philly for one there.

I will probably try to hit one other Atlantic team. It mostly depends on the schedule for who that is. I plan on making these weekend visits and seeing some of the cities and such. I was thinking about where I wanted to travel next last week (was thinking Sweden), but decided I hadn't even been around my own country that much. And let's face it, I'd rather spend the money to see hockey games lol.

Then I want to go to a couple others, schedule pending. Boston is definitely on my list of possibles.

I think Ducks should hold a lottery for his team. Write out all the teams on pieces of paper and slowly draw out each team (eliminating them) until 1 remains. Let destiny decide.

Post on the board every few minutes as each team is eliminated. Make it a SportsHoopla event! :)
