Become a fan of the Bruins as they are an original 6 team, you can bitch about their cheap owner who only cares about beer and hot dog sales, and are from a real hockey city where lakes and ponds freeze in the winter!!!!! Oh, wait, that's GunsAndBeer's schtick. Buffalo fans here would welcome you with open arms (or hooves as the case may be).

if you enjoy heartbreaks and disappointment, pick the Sharks

Pffft, the Sharks are 2nd rate heart breakers. They have nothing on the Canucks, Sabres, Kings, and Blues. :pound:

The fan in me says go with the flyers :D

But if you insist on one of those three, I would go with Buffalo

I guess it all depends on what type of hockey you like. Some teams are defensive minded and others are offensive pressure teams. It is key to what you like to see whether or not you stick to watching it. I would watch some games this season and then pick a team insead of picking one going in. I am a Pens fan, mainly due to being from the area. But I like wide open hockey, high scoring superstars. I wouldnt last as a devils fan.

Why pick just one?

(just make sure one of them isn't Dallas)

HEY! You can be a Pens fan! We're fun, and all you others KNOW IT! :) However, as a Buccos fan you clearly already deal with much disappointment in life...so DON'T pick the Oilers, and really the Avs are going down a bad road IMO. Buffalo is picking it up it would seem...but as they'll tell you, there's a lot of disappointment in their history. Nothing wrong with being a Pens fan right now, there's a lot of unknown going into next year with Sid...gaining fans now isn't "bandwagoner" status, just intrigued new fan.

Preds- were moving to a new conference next season (not official) so its a fresh start. This is easily arguable but I see the Eastern conference being an easier one. Were a very blue collar team, no big names and a ridiculously awesome scouting and coach group for goalies and defensemen.
Who doesn't like the underdog anyway?

The East has won 2 of 3 cups, I dont get the easier bit.
