The United States Grand Prix is held at the COTA in Austin, Texas. One of these years I am going to have make it up to that race. Bucket List sort of thing!
When is F1 going to learn to never put a recovery vehicle on the track when there are cars on the track? Simply put, if a recovery vehicle has any part of it on the racing surface it needs to be red flagged. If the recovery vehicle has to be inside the walls but off the surface all cars have to be tucked in behind the safety car before the recovery vehicle gets deployed. If someone pits from that line then they get held at the end of the pit lane until the vehicle is clear. To give Gasly a penalty for it is absolute bullshit. He was trying to catch up to the pack in case of a restart. As Jules Bianchi was when he died.
Not to say anything about the random interpretation of what constitutes a full points finish vs a 75% distance race. Even Max didn't think the points were full.
Crazy how much of a disorganized clown show F1 has become the last few years.
And when I posted earlier I hadn't heard the "explanation" of LECs five second penalty. HE DIDN'T GAIN AN ADVANTAGE. Feels like they just wanted to get Charles out of the way for Max. Unreal.
