With all the changes to the cars this year, apparently everyone wants to improve or build new venues to race them. This week-end in Australia appears to be no different as the new Albert Park venue will host the new F-1 cars. Let us see if Verstappen can win two-in-a-row or the Ferraris of LeClerc and Sainz can re-take the dominance once controlled by Lewis Hamilton. Speaking of: Hamilton and the Mercedes continue to struggle with the new car and we shall see if they finally break through with a win.

LeClerc leads Verstappen and Sainz in FP2. The Ferraris are looking pretty stout. The Mercs continue to struggle once again.

FP3 is taken by Lando Norris in the McClaren with LeClerc second.

LeClerc takes the pole from Verstappen and Norris gets disqualified for fuel inequities something I am quite sure the Mercs thought about. Hamilton finished fifth. Surprise, surprise!

Qualifying ended this way: LeClerc, Verstappen, Perez, Norris, Hamilton.

Pretty major chance of rain too which will slow the cars down and level the bouncing that the Ferraris are fighting out a bit. Those in car shots were insane. McLaren with a massive turnaround. Hope they will share if it's engine related.

Sainz got screwed by Alonso's crash. He was 200 feet short of completing a lap that would have put him on pole when the red came out, invalidating his lap. Made a mistake in his next lap and starts 9th

Great performance by Charles and a solid drive by George. Crazy that GR is in second in the driver's championship and Merc 2nd in constructors. Hope Charles doesn't get too far ahead before Merc get the car figured out. Would love a legit three team battle.

BTW Leclerc put an ass kicking on the whole field this weekend. Really was expecting RB to be faster on the long run. Miscalculation on my part.
