All that. Plus a good opportunity to pick up serious points on McLaren, and possibly even Merc (not that it would matter too much).Charles isn't even starting the race at all. Gearbox problem is terminal.
I am not sure I have ever seen a bigger mistake in F1 history. A former powerhouse team struggling to get back to the front of the grid rolls the dice and gets punted out of the biggest race of the year and takes a chance of a home GP win for a kid born there.
Binotto has to be fired. There is no other way.
Nice you got three of the 4Updating to my non-Charles scenario
Max
Carlos
Lando
Valtteri
what a dummy. The Ferrari’s were fast, and Charles clipped the barrier terribly - it wasn’t even close to missing it. If he were that nervous in qually, can’t imagine he would have been able to keep it together all race.
So annoyed that I got up to watch this. I expected something special would happen and the race was only 100 yards long.
I think the pick changes are fine as long as they are before lights out. The time stamps make it clear if they were in in time. And this was such a weird situation with ambiguity about whether the pole sitter would start there, pit lane, 5 spots back or even start at all. Shouldn't ever happen again.
