Well, the F-1 boyz are moving into the playground for the ultra rich this weekend (May 20-23) for the GP of Monaco. Wollfie is predicting Red Bull will be the team to beat with their superior rear-end traction system. I think Hamilton will have something to say about all of that bullshit from Wolff. Should be a fun weekend so get your picks in.

In 2019 Max was close.

But he got behind Lewis on bald tires and couldn't get past. Had that one desperate lunge by the pool chicane and that was it.

Lewis gets in front, it will be instant replay. But you have to get in front.

Happenstance and bad bounces have given wins to such as Olivier Panis and Jarno Trulli at Monaco.

Interesting with Ferrari in 1 and 2 after FP2. Since Quali is pretty much all that matters at Monaco, could Charles finally get his home GP?

And damn, did that Gulf McLaren look beautiful in the sunshine.

Qualifying traffic is always an interesting variable given passing challenges in the race. Seems like 4 or 5 (or more) cars have a chance for a fast lap and pole, so traffic could be a player.

and love the McLaren liveries for this week

I don't see how there is any way that Charles' gearbox will have survived that. I wish that F1 would require reporting of the parts in use 12 hours before race start under parc ferme rules. I've never seen a car crash after securing pole, so it should never matter except for right now. Guess I'm gonna have to see in the morning.

So I’m just going to do this as long as Retroram is cool with the rules

If Charles remains on pole:
Max
Charles
Carlos
Valtteri

if Charles takes a grid penalty:

Max
Carlos
Lando
Valtteri

4. Hamilton

If Charles starts 6th (penalty)

1. Verstappen

So Schmoopy and ckhokie: Leclerc remains on pole so I am accepting your first set of choices in the posts above. There is no evidence for damage to the gearbox either.

I would like to congratulate Mazepin on finally beating his Haas teammate on Qualifying day!
Now we know what it will take for that to happen :laugh3:

If Charles has enough gearbox to get to St Devote first, it should be enough. On formation lap, he said it isn't good. So he doesn't

Looks like they are going for a pit lane start. So he might not get either pole or a penalty.

Ferrari is so fucked up. Why not just go ahead and take the penalty?

Yeah, pit lane start for Charles. this now puts Bottas on the inside to turn 1 with no one in front of him.

F1 Confirmed - not re-forming the grid. Pole slot empty. Okay, now I am changing mine. 30 mins to lights out. Final answer.
