I'm excited about Crawford. he's like a skinnier Bobby Abreu. This team desperately needs someone like him that will take some walks and get on base

I think you would be right because we have noone who is a go-to guy when the bases are occupied on a consistent basis.

Galvis is going to be the second baseman though not Franco. Sandberg is playing Franco at first tonight for cryin' out loud.

You could be right. There are some options with that group I listed depending on how some of them do. Galvis could play any of the infield positions as long as he hits. You could put Galvis at 2nd Franco at 3rd and Gallo in the outfield too. But if Galvis doesn't hit you could always try Hernandez at 2nd too. Or who knows, maybe Herrera gets back in the lineup and starts hitting again

Altherr is one for 3 with a double in his Lehigh debut. As I suspected, Ruf is benched. Ruf has been hitting in every game lately and is batting over .300. He has also been driving in runs. Every time he gains momentum he gets benched. Amaro continues to punish this guy when he does well. This is a form of mental torture designed to break his spirit. At least they could have used him as a DH tonight.

Amazing stat - First time the Phiilies have scored 6 or more runs in 3 consecutive games since May 2014. That really indicates how badly this team has been.

Yea jvett, our offense has been virtually non-existent until they started playing these young guys on a consistent basis. Ruiz, Howard, and Utley have been restricted, we got rid of Sizemore, and the young bats are coming alive.
