Actually, the 26-year old is one of the Phils better pitchers. Only blown 3 of 8 starts and Phils won one of them, credit to quick thinking Gabe and the solid, at that time, pen. I’m sure he’ll get better. Really.

Sure, but the potential remains to be much better. It’s in the quality of the players, and they must work harder with the loss of the valuable McCutchen. They are already motivated, a theme that some fans don’t agree with, which then makes it easier to blame the manager for any failed results.

Harper, himself stated in his reasons for signing with the Phillies, the goals of the organization and team, and they don’t have to be posted in the dugout daily to summarize to the players the daily game plan of winning.

If we could reverse five close losses due to poor relief due to injured pitchers, Phils would have a record equivalent to the Braves. That still would not be good enough for the complainers because then they still lost 30 games, unacceptable, and manager is an idiot.
