I turned on the TV which was tuned to the Phillies game then saw Dickerson’s blast and Phillies fans 2,000 miles away rooting with enthusiasm so I made a cheese steak with a brew, then decided this could be the series where they get three in a row. If they blow this game I won’t return until they win four in a row.

Phillies now are only 1.5 games ahead of the Mets, and have a -21 run differential. Mets, 9-1 in their last 10, have a +8 differential. Fourth place before the weekend, possibly.

I thought for sure by now in August, they would have their act together with regard to both hitting and pitching. I’m wondering if the recent more mature, experienced additions to the team, who have been with four or five previous teams, are even capable of playing together with the young ex-LHV guys under the management of Kapler.

The conclusion you'll come to is that the Dildoes have settled-in and the hitting and pitching remain sporadic and sometimes useless. Too late in the season for this to be a problem due primarily to an idiot Manager and a braindead FO.

Yeah, looks like a pile of crap the rest of the season. What’s worse is that it will be a long time before hopes run as high as they were after Harper signed. Buy Yuengling by the case! At the moment, Nola and Phils are being no-hit by Bum after five. Glad that Pumpkin Imperial Ale will be on the shelves soon.
