Happ was headed for a career that projected him to be a number 3 or 4 starter. he had an injury and when he returned he could not throw strikes. His poor control still defines him today. This will be his 1st start of the season as Toronto will experiment with a 6 man rotation. I guess that means Asche will sit while Nix gets another start. Should be interesting to see if Mayberry starts in place of Brown. Either way I think the Phillies will try to be patient at the plate. Toronto will lose the advantage of the DH which is good for the Phillies. Happ will probably be limited to about 5 innings so the Phillies will need to get to him early. I predict that the Phils will win tonight!

Yes it's true that the Phillies can make below average and struggling pitchers look like all stars. However if they do not swing at pitches outside the Zone I think they can get to Happ. Both Rollins and Howard have improved on their pitch selection this season. That might make a difference tonight!

Why is Rollins sitting? He may be DTD because Scott Sheridan and Sandberg were checking him out yesterday after he made a throw to first base.

so.. asche, whose .661 ops isn't THAT horrible for someone struggling, can't get out of the 8 hole or even get consistent starts.. but freddy I CAN'T EVEN GET ON FUCKING BASE AT ALL galvis is somehow batting 2nd? he should be benched just for swinging at a 2-0 pitch.

i see this is one of those 'let me switch to family guy' nights.

Yeah it makes no sense. I mean I get the idea of moving someone up in the lineup to try to get them going, but why is that privilege exclusive to everyone but Galvis? And since Asche has a higher upside, shouldn't he really be hitting higher in the lineup every now and then instead of Galvis. I mean shit, why doesn't Stevie Nix hit leadoff "to get his bat going."

If Rollins is going to be out for a few days they should put Ruiz in the 2 hole. All the guy does is get on base.

Also, are Reid Brignac and Tyler Henson prospects or are they too old?

i think ruf is due back (finally start his rehab that is) this upcoming weekend. so he shouldn't be too far behind.

I hope that Ruf has a good rehab. We can use him for spot starts and pinch hitting. He always seems to have a solid on base percentage. Although Amaro says that is not important.

Considering what Amaro thinks is important is like to going to a whore house to get financial advice.
