It's amazing how unusual it is tonite to see such a flurry of hits and RBIs from Asche and Brown. I'm sure we've all learned though that as soon as tomorrow afternoon, some unknown Carl Hubble or Warren Spahn look-alike might appear on the mound and toss a 3-hitter against the Phillies and it's back into the funk. But I guess enjoy it while we can.

Number One. Asche and Brown accounted for 8 of the 12 runs batted in and what an explosion in offense! I hope this begins a momentum that doesn't get extinguished.

Atlanta's lost 3 in a row and only 3 over .500. The NL East is really crap right now. It wouldn't take much of a winning streak for the Phillies to take first. If these guys can stay hot (along with some decent pitching of course) - first in a week or two? Nah, that would be impossible.....or would it? When this team is on, they are capable of .600 ball.
