I suppose the Phillies are doing their oft-used MO on Sunday games. They look asleep. Marchan in for Realmuto and Bohm 0ofer.

Game over. Typical Phillies taking the game off and the loss because it is Sunday I suppose.

I haven’t seen any games until today (Colorado - I live in the Denver area) so most of my sample size has been box scores

Overall Phillies are playing well as they should be against the bottom feeders like Washington and Colorado

With the exception of Aaron “shit the bed” Nola starting pitching has been solid

Relief pitching has been so-so

And hitting has been feast or famine

In short it looks like this is a carbon copy of last year which makes sense since they did not make any major changes and we all know how that turned out last year
Oh I forgot though the “Daycare is closed” :rolleyes2:

Hitting goes through stretches in the game where they look lost

I would like to see the offense put more pressure on opposing pitchers throughout the game from the start

The good news is they are 3-1 and should sweep the Rockies but the Dodgers are looming and that will be a good litmus test even early on in this season

Phillies come back against Colorado. We are tied with the Marlins at 3-1. Looks like the Phillies may bolster our already decent bullpen with another potential trade for a Lefty Reliever.

Phillies up 2-0 on the Rockies in the 2nd game of the series against Colorado

They manufactured the scoring with good base running by Schwarber

Wheeler pitching well as usual

Fuckin Phillies

Bottom of fifth they load the bases with nobody out and the neat of the order coming up - Harper. Bohm, and Schwarber and those 3 go down meekly - all striking out :gaah:

That torpedo bat reminds me of a product you would see on those late night infomercials

The “Ron Popiel” torpedo bat
But wait there’s more….
Included with your torpedo bat is the one and only veggie-matic

Turner started today and he was lead-off. Did well. Schwarber is midpack. I think Schwarber might like that a bit better. I don't why, but Wheeler just seems to serve at least one homer nearly every time he pitches in the early going of the season.
