Apparently others have witnessed the same things I have witnessed with the Phillies and have been screaming about for some time. We have lost three straight series dating back to the week before the All-Star break and others are calling for an upgrade to our weak bullpen before the July 2
30 trade deadline.

You got that right, retro. But it seems all the leading teams have ran into rough spots, lately. The heavy hitting Yankees are 20-25. .444, since June 1 and have slipped to .577, overall. The Phils, despite losing the last three series, are 24-20 since June 1, playing at .545, and are now at .627, overall. It's a tough order, but I hope they can win the two upcoming series against Cleveland and the Yanks to maintain their MLB lead.

The Phillies have acquired outfielder Austin Hays in a trade with the Orioles. Reliever Seranthony Dominguez and outfielder Cristian Pache are headed to Baltimore in return.

It's a plus. Hays just turned 29; in 2023 had 143 hits, 16 HR, 67 RBI; overall was .275/.325/.444. Increases Phils run scoring ability. I won't miss Pache, .202, 0 HR, or 4.75 Seranthony.
