Five straight losses and the dildoes still cannot get good pitching to be on par say with the Bitches!

Last year, the Phils lost 8 of 10 Nola starts through the end of May, due to Phillies bats but he was 3.56. He improved from then on and ended 3.25.

This year, the Phillies are 5-6 in his starts but his ERA after two months is 4.59. Can only hope he warms up next month.

Well, it’s Memorial Day. I didn’t want to knee jerk on the team early but this team has problems. The biggest culprit is starting pitching especially Wheeler and Nola. You can’t be a real contender if your top two starters are mediocre. On top of that Ranger is still pitching spring training and they’re down 4-5 runs after 3 innings nearly every time out. Just heard on Ike Reese’s show about 2 weeks ago that MLB GMs voted Tijuan Walker as the worst contract of this last FA period.

I’m not as worried about the lineup, Trae Turner, or the bull pen. I think Dombrowski needs to think about 2 moves. First is for starting pitching. I want Corbin Burnes. He wasn’t happy through arbitration and wasn’t happy they didn’t talk long term for his contract. I would be willing to part with Abel for Burnes but would rather McGriff be the lead prospect going out. Let Nola walk and Burnes fills that slot going forward. He’s only 28 and a 5 year contract for $125-150 should get it done. They also need a move at 1B. I would want Christian Walker or CJ Cron. Cron is on the DL now and the D Backs look like they won’t be quitting anytime soon.

You can’t win baseball games giving up 8 runs.

I talked some Tijuan shit yesterday and he turned in a quality start. Would love to see them win this series in Atlanta and ride the wave into June.
