As usual, you're missing the big picture. The plan is not to win too much to make sure they get the 3rd wild card spot to play the Cards in the first round instead of the Braves. Phillies mgmt. is playing chess while you're still playing checkers.

You are as bad as the small-minded plan to settle for a WC spot instead of even believing of having a realistic chance at winning the NL East outright. If the Dildoes would stop doing stupid shit like deliberately tanking games and win them, especially easy ones like this one, the Phillies could catch both the Bitches and the Mutts. We are only 9.5 games back. With 30+ games left, if the Phillies really believed they could win the NL East and go for it instead of settling for a WC spot, they might even do it.
