Jury out on this season still.. I hope we can be in the talk at season’s end this year.. but next season we should be more seasoned... But so will some of the other teams in CFB.. I look for USC to be in the talk next year as well as Ohio State. This year... we just need to take the next step... and if it lands us on the magical square... great... then let's work for a repeat next year!

Something I heard that makes a lot of sense:

What if we only put up 20 against UCLA? What if the offense struggles out of the gate? Do we crawl back into a shell like when watson was here and let our defense win games? Can't do that because this defense is not, repeat IS NOT the '09 defense.

You're probably gonna have some real serious struggles but you have to press the issue and keep trying to run the offense you want. More passing, more creativity. It could pay big dividends for next year, which I also agree is our money year to win 11 or 12 games.

It's about patience, but Bo hasn't told us to be patient, so the expectation is a championship. This season could get rough at times. That is a seriously tough schedule we are working with. Just gotta run our offense and try and get better this season.

I hope to god that's not true though. I want to see us win now and win big. Realistically though, this is a warm-up season for '13

I'm cautiously optimistic. One good player stepping up like in 09 could really turn things around for the D. The offense is a different story however. Our success there is pretty much resting in the hands of the QB, with the help of the Oline, we have the means at every other position on offense to make a great run. We take a pretty good hit at TE after this season. Sandland!
