Apparently Vecchione is graduating with a degree in History. Good. Hopefully he'll recognize the significance of the past 42 years of Flyers' hockey.

Apparently it's a one-year deal, and if Vecchione plays this season he would become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Puzzling.

Because he is 24, Vecchione can only sign for one year. He will, however, be a restricted free agent after the season, allowing the Flyers to re-sign him.

Yeah, thanks. The article that said Unrestricted has since printed this retraction:

"This story has been corrected to show that Vecchione would because a restricted, not unrestricted, free agent this summer if he plays this season."

Probably not a world beater, but certainly should be a quality bottom 6 guy according to most of what i've read about him.

We need all the help we can get from the bottom 6 after those players haven't produced all season offensively.

Myers and Hart both joining the Phantoms for the playoffs on ATOs. Not sure Hart will see any playing time, though he may dress as the backup if they decide to send Oullette down to the Royals for their run. I expect Hart will just be the emergency 3rd guy though mostly. ATOs don't effect their Junior status.

Lindblom is playing in the SHL final, i think they're down 2-1 (best of 7). So if he finishes up, he may join them too.

ya.. phantoms in a tough spot here now.. down 0-2 in a best of 5 series.. both their goalies, the backbone of the team the entire season, are out with significant leg injuries.

twitter seems to think they'll go with Oullette over Hart, but wouldn't that be a story..

still wondering if Myers will get any time. from all accounts, they've played really well in both games, well enough to win, just getting unlucky.

need the bounces to go in their favor on Saturday (and hopefully Sunday).

You just cant give away a 4-2 lead in game 2. That is not a good look.

"Congratulations go out to Flyers left wing prospect Oskar Lindblom and goalie prospect Carter Hart for winning top positional honors in their respective leagues.

The 20-year-old Lindblom was selected by Ishockeyjournalisternas Kamratförening (the Swedish equivalent of the Professional Hockey Writers Association) as the top forward in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) for the 2016-17 season. The SHL Awards will be presented on May 5 and televised nationally in Sweden.

For the second straight season, the 18-year-old Hart has been selected the Western Hockey League's Del Wilson Memorial Award winner as the goaltender of the year."
