Why in the HELL were they bunch up so much all day? Truly slow play was going on! Where's the damn officials; penalize these A-holes? I've never seen anything like that before; 4 on the final hole! Too bizarre!

Great tourney - the best in years. CBS must have been drooling having all of those big names at the top of the leaderboard. I feel bad for Fowler & hope that he gets a major next year. He handled the press conference with class & you could tell that this one really stung. Great job by all of the competitors.

I also thought Phil was PO'ed at the time. However - listening to him in the press conference I don't believe that was the case. Sounds like he was more upset about some missed opportunities. Strange ending but very entertaining. You also have a good pt @ Rory being lucky that his tee shot didn't go in the water. As the announcers mentioned his ball would have gone there if the overall course was drier (then again that would also result in different results for the entire day).

If they made Rory wait a bit longer it would appear to be pretty tacky. Just a strange situation due to all of the delays. I also just couldn't imagine them having the last group come back to play today.

The explanation given by the broadcasters was that the decision to "play up" is normally granted by the players themselves not by the officials.

I thought pace of play was fine until #6...then it kinda gummed up...on Phil & Rickie...idk about slow play, but what they didn't do was speed up as darkness was drawing near...they basically stayed with their same routine...marking short putts if they were anywhere the others putting line, looking at putts from both sides of the line, etc.

At the end of the day the best player won in spite of losing his patience a bit.

idk about what...he talked about carrying the pitch too far and he did, but not getting his par putt to the hole on 16 was his undoing.

I thought for sure either Phil or Rickie were going to win yesterday as Rory was slipping but Rory managed to come back. What an exciting finish.

I don't get why people are upset with Phil and Rickie allowing Rory to play up on the 18th.

Yeah. Whole thing was weird. On Phil's side of things he's waiting longer in deteriorating light so the last group can play up as well, while on Rory's side he's getting screwed for being in the last group. They chose to do the right thing. And all the players played really fast anyway.

Got home late yesterday to find the tourney still going on after a 2 hour delay in the AM. Gawd that was awesome to watch the back 9 run @ Valhalla. Terrific course and Rory was just throwing darts onto to the greens. Nice to see Phil in the game as well.

Thought for sure EXTRA golf would be played today. Oh well...yesterday was great to see after all.

No you can't....I just think not giving that putt a chance burned him...if you get it there and miss it left or right like a couple of his eagle chances you can sleep better.
