Damn you slippin tween my posts.

But yeah, the AAA ones Atleast. I gotta look up that total.
If Ichiro's Japanese numbers count, than Rose's minor league numbers count.

Ichiro still has a long way to go to get to 4683...

Ichiro is a major talent. IMHO, he is a first-ballot guy. But he is NOT the hit-king.
From page 1...

I don't even understand where Ichiro being the tHitKing came from.

And I absolutely love Ichiro as a player. His greatness doesn't need the help. And Petes disgrace doesn't deserve to take away his accomplishments.
Agree 100%

I am not a Rose fan, but his accomplishment is HIS accomplishment. I AM a fan of Ichiro, and his career is DAMN impressive. But he is NOT the hit king. Pure and simple.

I understand, we had Chan Gailey and a few others at one time.
You have Linehan NOW!

Romo stays healthy, he wins MVP.

I thought that when he got there and I'm gonna keep on thinking it. (He shoulda won last year, as he clearly was most valueable.)

I think people are selling Rose short on this thread. He didn't just say he is still the hit king. He said "It sounds like in Japan, they're trying to make me the Hit Queen," Rose.

I'm crossing my fingers Romo stays upright, the season hinges on it, and no you can't have Linehan back.

Sad thing about this is that a great hitter is going to get bashed because they want to mix stats from different leagues. Maybe Ichiro could have sniffed 4K hits if he were playing here his entire career, and that's a really big maybe. But it's still impressive that he's probably going to end up with 3K having started his career here at 27. Great player but this is much ado about nothing. You might as well add minor league hits into peoples totals if that's the way we're going to count them.

I hope so too. Dudes capable of great things. And I like watching that.

Believe it or not, I'm honestly somewhat optimistic with Stafford under Jim Bob. The Cootmeister seems to get that mitigating Staffs inaccuracy issues is key. Not toooo optimistic though, it's still the Lions.

This is going to sound nits, but I think CJ's retirement will help Stafford, the reason is Stafford won't want to force it to one receiver. This is not a knock on Johnson, just that defenses doubled CJ and that seemed to be where most of Stafford ints came from.
