Just watching the Toronto Raptors President talk about Dekembe. He isn’t handling his death too well.

And all that he did for his country and kids was amazing.

The big red machine and the lumber company had some epic battles in the 70s

The only sort of weak spot in the Big Red Machine hitting wise was shortstop Dave Concepcion. Everybody else could rip the cover off the ball.

Watched the documentary on his a couple of weeks ago.
He was a cheater and a bit of an asshole, but it's a damn shame he didn't get into the hall before he died.

Tremendous defensive shortstop. My favorite Reds on those teams were George Foster and Joe Morgan

Yes sir - George Foster with that glossy black bat, he looked intimidating to me just when he was taking practice swings.

I love this dialogue from the movie "Mississippi Burning"

You like baseball Anderson?
Yes I do - It's the only time a black man can shake a stick at a white man and not start a riot.

Sort of hard to see in this photo but it’s cool how the Reds sent a big FU to major league baseball by putting 14 bats in the smoke stacks since they were not allowed to retire his number until well after Great American Ballpark was built

If anybody wants to Venmo me some cash I’ll put it all on the third race at Saratoga on Saturday.

Harness racing at it’s finest - let’s make Pete proud.
