Perlman is an academic who from time to time is called into the world of College Football. He has no business questioning Bo's coaching style. There were numerous bad calls and even the most mild mannered coach would be upset.

Just b/c ABC kept showing an angry Bo does not mean he was over angry. Also now Perlman has added another distraction to a team that needs to quickly move on and re focus. Perlman needs let people do there jobs. If Bo needed to be talked to it should be Osborne's call and it should be done in private. For a smart guy that was a stupid move to involve the press.

If it was on facebook then the person who wrote it has no influence whatsoever on Bo's employment status. Most of the blue hairs (the one's that matter) are the reason Bo is here because they are the major boosters. Major boosters don't 'facebook'. Facebook is just part of the crappiest generation of spoiled idiots. No offense to the facebook people out there....

any real husker fan should not want Bo fired. We are 9-2 he is no doubt the best coach we have had since Osborne. We have gotten better every year over the last 3 and that is just a fact. Perlman should publicly stand up for his coach and if something needs to be said in private so be it.

This is management 101 you never publicly discipline someone.

I did watch the press conference and I do agree, that Bo did lose control, so perlman needed to nudge him a little. No big deal, it happens to us all, done.

I do agree with Bo when he said there are somethings that need to be dealt immediately and they cannot wait till the locker room, Ben

With Taylor, I don't know what he was being yelled at for but he must have deserved it. Bo could have handled that a lot better than he did, not the yelling Im fine with that but the putting your hands on a player is over the line.

Perlman's comments ticked me off also but irule made a very good point yesterday "it didn't look very good on tv, he's just saving face...". It's Perlman's job to play the politics game with the media.

I dont rly think anybody wants him fired.. just to calm down a little

This.

Jwesh, I'm gonna have to disagree with you. Show me where Pearlman was questioning Bo's coaching style? From what I read, when it came to that question, he gave his best political answer that was really a non-answer by saying that philosophy exists throughout college athletics and is "unfortunate." So he, himself wasn't going to comment on that aspect. The whole point was as the political leader to make a public statement saying the university was disappointed in Bo's BEHAVIOR.

For those of you who think Pearlman didn't probably get a buttload of calls expressing disappointment in Bo's behavior after that game, you are just too naive.

I don't necessarily disagree that he might should of not done it in public. There may have been much more political pressure that we are unaware of. Maybe Pearlman's already tried to address his displeasure with Bo's behavior in private and Bo's blown him off. We don't know all of the facts. The same way many of you rightly point out that some people don't have all the facts concerning Bo and his handling of all situations.

I don't see how some can say Pearlman should of stictly done this in private, but say nothing about Bo not saving his outburst to Martinez in private. If it's over what we've been speculating on here, a team only private tongue lashing of Martinez would of been better since it was a team rule (talking/texting during the game) and he could of got his strong message of disproval in front of all his teammates that the rule also applies to. IMHO it was definately not needed on the sideline in the middle of a game being televised on national television. Time and place folks.

i don't really know anything, but i do kinda think perlman was just talking to shut some people up...

I hope he isn't trying to put restrictions on player interaction..

Perlman is not an idiot, he knew there needed to be a statement issued on the inevitable shit storm that was to follow the game. So there it was today at the press conf.

Perlman is the same idiot that didn't realize Pederson was being a dick to everyone in the athletic department. He needs to either keep his nose in the athletic business or don't!!!!!!
