Pens down to 10 forwards, really 9 since Godard is useless as tits on a bull.

I think he should be getting top 6 minutes in the NHL right now. He's got the size, the tools and the smarts.

I agree, he could.. but not on the Pens... they are playing for the Cup. He needs to be 'the man' and gain experience in all types of game situations, and I would rather him learn in the AHL.. again, only because the Pens are playing for teh cup, not rebuilding... but I agree... on a lot of other teams he would be top 6 this year.

At first when connor got called up, I was upset (I think I made a thread expressing this) but after thinking about it (and not because connor is playing well) I think it's a good move. Connor is more suited for a third line player and he isn't really in the Pens long term plans so no real need to develop him into a top 6.

These minutes DJ is getting in games like this will go a long way next year.

I know we're PC here, but what a horrible call on Staal. Should have been two.

Anyway, while the Pens handed that lead away, I can't say I'm unhappy to see us tied going into the third.

This is not a good game to have to be sober for (no drinking or eating tonight because I have to take a drug test for work tomorrow).

Staal blasted prust, but prust fell like he took a Holyfield right. He might get a game or two for that, unfortunately.

I really think blasted is too strong of a word, but I might be biased.

And if he gets a game, that's a joke. Matt Cooke, sure. Jordan Staal on that play? No.

Let me clear in that yes, that was a retarded play by Staal.

Prust should be embarrassed, then he sits on the bench flexing his jaw and neck like he got his bell rung. He is a tough guy, play like one.

I am OK with the Staal call, Prust should've gotten 2.. for a net of a 3 min major.

Should be a good 3rd..

I'll give Prust the benefit of the doubt, because sometimes a jab to the face can really ring your bell, but that was barely a notch above facewash. Considering Prust elbowed Staal just before the play, there shouldn't be a suspension.

I'm more pissed about Staal's idiocy than any perceived slight by the ref. I guess he learned that from Malkin.

I was about to have a heart attack if Bylsma didn't call a timeout there.

hell yeah, i'll take the point. with as many missing bodies on the bench right now, that's a victory in itself.

Shootout. I feel like this might favor the Rangers a little bit...
