Big game tonight against the Oregon Ducks to dispel all of the talking about who really is Number One!

So far Penn State D is getting mauled by Oregon

The offense needs a long drive here to give the D some rest

First year in the B10, Penn State wins the conference title and beats Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

30 years later...

First year in the B10, Oregon wins the conference title by beating Penn State in the championship game.

Freaky.

I hope these two teams meet up again in the CFP.

Had my doubts about Tom Allen as DC when he was hired and they proved true last night. Offense scored plenty of points. Had to laugh at Big Game James going for 2 at the wrong time.

SMU and Boise State in the first two rounds. For not having a bye, this is not a bad path to making the semi-final.

Allen was brutal. 2pt conversation wasn't necessary but was fine. It's technically a +EV move.

Shot ourselves in the foot against Oregon. Allar had one extremely costly interception and those penalties in the 1st half basically gave the Ducks another touchdown. So, we essentially gifted them two touchdowns and that was the difference.

Otherwise, we led in practically every team stat, including total yards and first downs. Frustrating to get nearly 300 yards rushing and 7 yards per play in a loss.

Couldn't have asked for a better set up. Gotta lock in and handle business with SMU.
Admittedly, it's a dream scenario. That said, we better come to play. If we do, we should beat SMU by 3+ touchdowns, quite frankly. Boise State could be a challenge, for sure, but they are not a traditional powerhouse from a big conference. Despite a fairly weak schedule, their only loss was to Oregon by only 3, so arguably they belong where they are at.

I feel like all of the home teams are justified as heavy favorites in this first round, but someone might sneak through, that's why we play the games.

Allar also missed a wide open Warren down the middle…..would have had one guy to beat for a TD…..a huge miss, which lead to a missed FG

Just a frustrating loss because of some glaring stupidity and incompetence at key positions in the coaching arena. Penn State will be in the hunt but the bragging rites have disappeared.

The PSU offense definitely still ate though. 523 yards of total offense, 28 first downs and 37 points. The missed field goal, the two INT's and all of the penalties (65 yards worth) were very uncharacteristic of this squad.

On defense, where were the turnovers and sacks that we usually create!? And why can't we cover Tez Johnson!? One guy was 40% of their offense. Make someone else beat us, for God's sake!!!

Idk about everyone else here, but I think James Franklin's job is on the line in the next two games. Blow away SMU and at least find a way to beat Boise State or you're gone, my dude. Everything is laid out for us. Now, go and fucking get it!!!

For real man, hope you're doing well.

Things looking a lot sunnier in DC than the last time I saw you!
I'm getting old but doing pretty well. I hope you are well also.

Things are more fun in Washington huh? I like the owner and the guys he has hired and it sure is more fun to win..

Penn State got a good draw in the tournament, I hope they can do something with it.

Now the new owner of the Washington Football franchise would do us all a favor and restore the nickname to its traditional Redskins where it should be!!

Well, in my opinion, if "Redskins" and "Indians" is unacceptable, then so is "Chiefs" and "Blackhawks," among some other team names that still very much exist. Restore them all or get rid of them all.

Alright, let's go PENN STATE!!!

Absolutely no excuses next weekend!! Gotta handle business in Happy Valley against SMU!!
