24/7 just released their new rankings today and some of our commits were movers. Cooper got a bump and now has a 4 star ranking from 24/7. Saquon Barkley also got a jump and is now graded as a 92 by 24/7. Juwan Johnson had his stock fall some, but I wouldn't be too worried about that, he's still elite IMO and obviously Nike thinks so as well because he got invited to The Opening, one of the most prestigious prospect camps in the country. This now puts 10 of our 16 commits into the latest Top247 rankings. :suds:

Also on another note, Kareem Walker has said that he plans to be on campus June 21 and attend the recruit BBQ that the staff is planning. He really likes us.

I already updated Cooper to his 4th star on first page. Johnson is a flat out stud with the offer sheet to prove it. His size/speed combo is scary.

Walker seems to really like us and that makes me very happy, kid is elite prospect and would be very nice pull to start out 16 class :-)

Yeah I have no idea why they've seemed to sour on Johnson, he has all the physical tools. You also have to remember that none of these kids have even played their senior seasons yet. With how fast Franklin has been working, it's hard to believe that it's still May  When HS football season rolls around, all of our guys will have the chance to get out there and improve their ratings.

And yeah Walker would be a great get. Hopefully he can bring his local buddy Gary down with him lol. And I know it's been said here many a time, but I'll say it again 2016 really has a chance to be special.

Barajas flipped to ND. Odd timing, don't think he even visited again or anything. Must have been some extreme pressure from people at home to go there. Shouldn't have much trouble filling naother LB spot as we were turning some away already. Hopefully they can get back in and steal kirkland who wanted to commit here from scUM

they've been turning guys away, so I'm sure it won't stay open long. I'm guessing they make a run at Kirkland who committed to scUM but had tried to commit to PSU after Barajas. He said the staff told him they'd stay in touch and let him know if they had any openings....ie, we'll be on you as soon as they ships are all given back. May be sooner now. After him, not sure, but I doubt they have much of a problem filling it with a very high end player. I really liked Barajas film, too bad, but movin on.

Really sounds like he had a lot of pressure on him to go ND. His coach was practically jizzing about ND in an interview and he goes to a catholic school in Indiana.

I understand. I wasn't too concerned with replacing, just curious to who you thought. Thanks for the input. Time to get Kirkland, and forget about this. Best of luck to Barajas tho

yeah, it is what it is. Who knows, they may pull someone from the camps in Georgia or Florida. Last thing I'm worried about is Franklin and recruiting.

Didn't expect this to happen, but looking at it I'n not surprised it did. Kid is in Notre Dame territory, I'm sure he's dreamed about going there since he was a kid and there was all kinds of pressure on him to go there, so us having him for a little while says something about what Franklin is doing.

Like you guys said, Kirkland is the quickest and most obvious replacement and I'm sure Franklin will be reaching out to him soon. Hopefully he will flip.

Bowen is another that could be on board quick if his grades check out, which it appears they will. Need some outside guys, Barajas was slated to start at OLB, Kirkland is strictly middle. I'd love to land him and Bowen. Would also turn up heat on Baker again.

Bowen and Kirkland would both be great gets to offset this loss. As far as Baker, I hate to say it, but I think that shit might have sailed already, he looks OSU or SEC bound to me. That being said, we are talking about Franklin so nothing should be ruled out.

Yeah, with JFF, I never count anything out. I';m sure he'll get an up close look at some great players at these Southern Camps

He will definitely get a look at some great players down there. Hopefully he can drum up some interest and establish a pipeline of sorts in Georgia or Florida.

I know there were some high profile kids who signed up soley because the PSU staff would be there. they wanted to come see JFF and how he coaches in person

I wouldn't doubt it. We're probably one of the hottest offers in all of college football right now.

Looks like Jashon Cornell is going to the prospect BBQ this summer. I didn't really think we were in the mix for him, but if he makes it down for that event, who knows. :suds:

We've been consistently on his short list. That said, I wasn't buying till he set up a visit. Think we have a good shot now. Burrell also said he's visiting 2 more times before school starts again

Sounds like staff is also starting to turn up the heat on 4 star LB Josh Smith from TN. Potential Barajas replacement

Yeah, wish we had flipped his bro last year. Will be tough pull but he has a longtime relationship with this staff
