The Isles made a couple mistakes by taking penalties while they had the momentum, and now two quick goes for the Penguins have this game tied and the momentum shifted a bit toward the Pittsburgh side.

What makes it worse is that one penalty was just plain dumb and unnecessary.

Well, he's not having a good series so far, is he?

I am glad to see Despres is out there, though.

So true on both. Engelland needs to stay a healthy scratch.

Honestly I think Niskanen is scared after that fight, playing very soft.

Anyway 2 bad penalties gets the Pens back in it.

They both were. The hook was on a dump, and the trip was right at the blueline, and Hamonic did it because he was way out of position.

Crosby looks really extra good today. He's stepped in a couple times and just taken the puck right off an Islander's stick. I would be surprised if that didn't result in a goal for the Penguins sometime this game.

Well, it wasn't on a Crosby takeaway, but that was some kind of play by the Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis line to take the lead.

Good recovery, Pittsburgh. Now bury them. As long as they believe in themselves, they're going to play hard and fast, and it's going to be dangerous. Wear them down and bury them.

I missed some of the game. Did Pittsburgh put one in from beyond the arc?

I am glad to see Despres is out there, though.

Despres has been horrible.

Two things the Pens need to do:

1) No stupid turnovers in our own zone or neutral zone. It's been killing us - the Islanders are a fantastic counter-attacking squad.

2) Be more aware when the puck is deep in our end. A few goals now have come from the D playing two casually trying to retrieve or challenge for pucks behind our own net. The second Isles goal today especially.
